This tournament is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2025 from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. Fishing area is south of Orihula (includes the Rat River and Page’s Slough) and includes Lakes Poygan and Winneconne. Tickets must be purchased by midnight February 6, 2025.
All contestants must abide by State of Wisconsin DNR rules and regulations. Any contestant 16 years old or older must have a valid Wisconsin fishing license. The contest is open to all ages with participants possessing their own ticket.
All contestants must be checked in by 2:00 pm at the Boom Bay Bar, 7884 Cutoff Lane, Larsen, WI 54947. Any contestants who has not checked in by 2:00 pm will forfeit the right to enter their catch.
Should inclement weather or ice conditions cause cancellation, a random drawing will be held at 5:00 pm: all qualifying tickets will be placed in the drum and drawn randomly.
The entry fee is $10 per ticket. Tickets will be available at Boom Bay Bar and Grill, Critters (Winneconne), Noffke’s Landing (Winneconne), Ma’s Bait and Tackle, Angry Minnow, (Fremont) and from Lake Poygan Sportsmen’s Club (LPSC) members. Ticket sales close at midnight February 6>th, 2025. No refunds will be given.
SALES AGENT KEEPS BOTH STUBS WITH MONEY PAID. CHECK IN WITH YOUR FISH AND IDENTIFICATION AT THE TOURNAMENT HEADQUARTERS (Boom Bay Bar and Grill, 7885 Cutoff Road, Larsen, WI 54947) AND WE WILL VALIDATE YOUR FISH ENTRY.
Only one fish can be registered per ticket. Contestants may register as many fish as they have tickets up to the legal daily bag limit. All contestants MUST enter their OWN fish. Any legally caught fish may be registered. There is a separate contest for Northern Pike ($100 to the longest Northern Pike = 1 winner for Northern Pike).
The tournament director is Steve Lenz and the contest committee shall have the right to verify that the fish were legally caught within the tournament rules. All decisions are FINAL.
Cash prize amounts will be determined by the number of entries – 75% payback. No weight or length information is recorded. Each qualifying ticket corresponding with a qualifying fish goes into the drum and winners will be drawn out randomly.
All prizes will be handed out February 7, 2025 at 5 pm. Contestants are responsible for any taxes that may be incurred. All prizes must be claimed by 9:00 pm March 1, 2025. Any unclaimed prizes will be donated to the Lake Poygan Sportsmen’s Club for their use at future events.
Failure to comply with these rules subjects the contestants to disqualification and removal from the competition site as determined by contest committee. Right to refuse to sell or revoke a competition ticket to anyone is hereby reserved.
All contestants and other bystanders consent to the use of any photographs or likeness of themselves to be used in the promotion of our contest, including but not limited to print, radio, or television, etc. Prizes will be adjusted accordingly to provide 75% payback. Proceeds will go toward the Lake Poygan Sportsmen’s Club.
